Overview

Our client has a requirement for a Safety and Quality Assurance Manager within the Rotary Wing and UAS directorate, in support of safety and airworthiness to provide adherence to the Government Quality Assurance (GQA) framework, inform on risk management and contractor selection, provide independent assurance of supplier and supply chain capability, performance, and risk management, and promote continual improvement within the supply chain. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days a week on site.



Specific job skills

  • Providing Governance, assurance and continual improvement to Delivery Teams within the Rotary Wing and UAS directorate through the Safety and Engineering team in support of safety and airworthiness services focusing on Supplier and product performance.
  • Lead governance and assurance activities across the supply chain, in adherence to the Government Quality Assurance framework.
  • Advise and inform on risk management and the supplier / contractor selection processes.
  • Provide an independent review of supplier and product performance to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Support continual improvement initiatives within the technical supply chain.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to maintain high standards of quality.


Essential skills and experience

  • Candidates must hold a valid security clearance
  • Be registered with the CQI as Practitioner Grade (PCQI);
  • Applied knowledge of QA within the acquisition environment supported by expertise in multiple QA specialist areas including Configuration Management;
  • Breadth of industry/manufacturing and QA experience gained from involvement with multiple projects and technical environments including supply chain engagement;
  • As a minimum hold either:
  • Engineering qualification at RQF Level 6;
  • or be professionally registered with the Engineering Council as Engineering Technician (EngTech)
