Overview

Working within Air Capability Delivery, you will provide specialist technical leadership to the Surface Electronic Warfare Threat project as it progresses through competition and assessment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an EW or radar specialist to contribute to a high-profile programme shaping future operational training for the Combat Air Force and wider UK Air Domain from 2030.

Specific job skills

  • Provide subject-matter expert advice on Electronic Warfare throughout the SEWT competition.
  • Lead the technical aspects of the procurement and assessment activity.
  • Support technical assessment across EW, secure communications, data transfer, data use and storage.
  • Produce and maintain project documentation and high-quality staff work.
  • Build effective working relationships across Air Capability, HQ 1 Group, HQ 11 Group, DE&S, ADEWS Delivery Team, RAF Spadeadam, Dstl and industry.
  • Work autonomously while contributing to the wider NGOT team’s objectives.

Essential skills and experience

  • Strong previous experience in Electronic Warfare and/or radar.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain SC clearance.

Desired skills and experience

  • Requirements management or DE&S experience.
  • Previous delivery at SO2 or equivalent level.
  • Project management experience.
  • HQ Air Command staff officer experience.
  • Developed Vetting (DV)
  • QWI or EWI qualification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.

Candidates must be SC cleared UK nationals.
