Our client is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person to join the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) security team to provide security assurance to the FCAS Senior Risk Owner (SRO) and work within the Global Combat Air Programme to support the GCAP International Government Organisation (GIGO).Current members of GIGO are Japan, Italy and UK.The Role will support the development of the trilateral security framework and understanding to deliver the GCAP vision.
Reporting to the Assistant Head Security (Product, Industry). Responsible for supporting the security aspects of the Product and Supply chain teams of the UK Future Combat Air Programme (FCAS).
The Role will:
• Have oversight of Supply Chain and Product security sub working group actions and delivery of additional working groups, as required
• Drive meaningful engagement at a trilateral level, providing the necessary security advice and support to ensure GCAP is a success.
• Support the Maturation of the GCAP product and industry security framework to support GIGO Agency transition.
• Manage UK risks and issues escalating through the FCAS governance structure or at the Trilateral GCAP Working Groups.
• Lead the delivery of risk analysis while reaching down into the Lead System Integrator for review and assurance through the supply chain.
• Manage product and supply security factors relating to technical development work streams and acquisition work packages including the GCAP (Tempest) demonstrator.
• Lead on industry engagement and media enquiries which affect product. Be aware of aspects on the technical development work streams which have relevance to the FCAS / GCAP products.
• Provide support and assurance to the wider FCAS product security team including through engagement with Trilateral industry and government colleagues.
• Support the FCAS and GCAP Security Working Groups including the Non-Technical Working Groups.
• Confident communicator with the ability to succinctly engage with a range of stakeholders both Government and Industry, including with international colleagues.
• Curious and able to challenge irrespective of grade / position to better understand risks and issues.
• Have experience of risk management
• Understanding of UK Defence acquisition
