Career Highlights:

  • Programme managed an international new bus start-up for National Express in Bahrain. The plan was delivered on-time and in accordance with the Ministerial requirements and timelines
  • As the Roll-out Design Consultant, designed and integrated both the initial roll-out plan followed by a detailed cutover plan that put 21st century SAP into 51 sites across Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and the Netherlands. Implemented and delivered on time
  • Created and introduced a customer focussed redevelopment strategy to improve Volvo’s rental business offering, which increased volume and revenue by 25%, and delivered a bottom line improvement of £2.2m
  • Designed and implemented a £2.4m change programme for Volvo Trucks. The Programme delivered innovative and profitable transport solutions and £8.4m bottom line savings
  • Turned around a British Road Services rental business from a monthly £1m+ loss back into profit within 8 months
  • Turned around a failing engineering business (SME in Wales) which was losing £1.5m per annum and brought it back into profit within 4 months
  • Designed and implemented a major change programme for a £150m turnover Disability Charity which delivered £10.6m of savings to the bottom line, with an additional £3m in procurement savings

Experience: Over 24 years in the Royal Marines and 20 years working within large diverse businesses to help them achieve their performance optimums and business excellence. Has a clear and concise understanding of commercials, delivery approaches and external influences. Has detailed experience of project management tools such as MS Project with great success at Leonard Cheshire Disability, National Express, First Group, Olive group, SP Holdings and Rossmore Dempsey. Has developed close and inclusive working relationships with suppliers which has involved careful monitoring, communication and involvement in what is being delivered. Always ensuring that delivery agents have ownership and accountability to the delivery programme as agreed. He has deep understanding of industry best practice, superb communication skills, with the drive and ability to implement.
